2009 Awards
IMADA is pleased to have awarded nearly $12,500 in student scholarships and grants
in June of 2009.
Each year we award Summer Study Grants to middle and high school students to help them continue
their study with a private teacher during the summer months. IMADA also awards a number of College Scholarships
to graduating seniors who have been admitted to an institution of higher learning and have participated in the
arts during their high school career.

Below are some of the “thank you” notes we've received from our Ipswich students.
Dear IMADA, You will never know how much I appreciated all of you giving me this grant. I had
such a great time in Jazz Camp…I learned so much about hearing notes and the blues scales and also about Jazz’s history…So I
thank you because without this experience my trombone knowledge and jazz knowledge wouldn’t be the same.
2009 Middle School Summer Study Grant Recipient
To the Members of IMADA, I’m writing to thank you for your generosity in awarding me with a
scholarship to use towards my education. I appreciate your recognition of my efforts in the arts programs at IHS, as well as my
love for them. I plan to continue playing my violin, signing, painting…and I greatly appreciate all that IMADA does for these
programs. Thank you for making my high school experience so full of creativity and art.

The fine arts program at Ipswich High School has enriched my high school experience
and, in fact, has been my inspiration each day at school. I will certainly do my best to represent our art and music
programs well. Thank you.

2008 Summer Study Grant Recipient
Thank you so much for choosing me as the recipient of one of your scholarships!...
I love the arts program at Ipswich and have no doubt that it has played a major role in my development as a
person. And so, at the risk of sounding corny, my real thanks to all of you at IMADA isn't for supporting me with this
scholarship; rather, thank you for supporting this wonderful program.
