CONGRATULATIONS IHS JAZZ BAND HORNS!
The Ipswich Jazz Band horn section recently learned they won 92.5 FM The River's contest to play with The Mighty Bosstones at the free Boston Commons concert, Saturday, July 20th. The Ipswich High School Horns submitted a video accompanying the Bosstone's tune, The Impression That I Get, to earn this spot!
The concert was part of the "Boston Will Come Alive" nine-day performing arts event. The Mighty Bosstones, with Ipswich High School Horns, performed at 9:00 pm on The Commons. Check out the article in the Boston Globe!

IHS Alumna heads BU Making Music Program
Kati McKinney, IHS Class of 2008, manages Boston University's Making
Music Program. This volunteer project brings music education to children
in three Boston Public Schools. Kati, who plays both flute and violin,
is putting her talents to good use as she attends Boston University.
